#IamRemarkable is a Google initiative that strives to empower everyone, particularly women and underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.
Dare To Lead™: Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.
The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.
Individuals who complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put a Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.
Custom workshops available by request.

Testimonials
“This workshop was game-changing, and I mean that. I went in excited to further develop my leadership skills, and am coming out of this not only having improved critical professional skills but having changed personally as well. My confidence has increased and I am leaving with real tools to use as a leader and in life. Lakeya is an incredible facilitator and gifted coach, and I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.”

“Dare to Lead for Black Women led by Lakeya Cherry was a transformative experience for me. I was warmly welcomed into a safe space where we explored the depths of what it means to really be courageous and ultimately vulnerable in the most important times of our lives. I am encouraged to get to the truth and live out my values each day because of what I learned in the last 6 weeks. The commitment to explore and give my time was worth it- I honestly could do another 6 weeks. Any Black woman who is called to lead should be afforded the opportunity to do this work in order to both preserve and grow in a sustainable way.”
Delilah Clayborne
"Lakeya is one of the best executive coaches I’ve ever worked with! She was always flexible to help me in the way that I needed help on any given week, even if it was just to help me get organized and prioritize. She helped me prepare myself and my team for my maternity leave which allowed me to spend precious time with my family! She has a direct but kind style. Highly recommend!"

"Working on being vulnerable was a challenge I wanted to meet, and having Dr. Cherry with me on this journey was the difference between backing down and pushing forward. Her facilitation of the Dare to Lead session was masterful; her high level of emotional intelligence and mastery of the content created a safe and supportive environment to do the hard work. Work that is complicated when looking at vulnerability through an intersectional lens of masculinity and race – being a Black man."

While extremely thoughtful in her approach, Dr. Cherry moves you to unleash your authentic innermost truths, allowing you to better understand yourself and those around you. Her skills, care, leadership, professionalism, knowledge, and authenticity are beyond compare. Be prepared to be transformed as you rumble!”

“As a female entrepreneur leading a boutique consulting firm, isolation in my role and responsibilities are the expected norm. Add to that the imposter syndrome and racial trauma that comes with being Black and leading in predominantly White spaces, providing services to large bureaucratic organizations entrenched and built on systems of oppression. At times, this daily work requires me to create an armor of steel to survive. Participating in the Dare to Lead Series for Black Women was a sacred safe space to learn and grow in my leadership journey, remove the armor I use to protect my peace, and be vulnerable in my lived experience."

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.
The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0) is the world’s leading assessment tool for assessing emotional intelligence. It offers a specific workplace assessment that allows individuals to explore and develop specific competencies that are associated with career success. The assessment also includes a detailed analysis of how one operates emotionally, interacts with others, and identifies areas of strength and potential areas for development.
Similar to the EQ-i 2.0 the EQ 360 measures the same EQ competencies.
It is a confidential self-report assessment combined with feedback from the people that you work with. The EQ-i 2.0 is a requirement prior to taking the 360 assessment as it combines the employees' own perceptions of their EQ with the perceptions of others who know them well and who are 360 degrees around them.
I'm also a POSITIVE INTELLIGENCE® Coach.
